A reputed garment manufacturing & exporting company is looking for a suitable candidate to fill up the following vacant position immediately.
Job Responsibilities
Person who have knowledge of Fabric & apparel testing & can handle below responsibilities:
Appropriately apply for a waiver of CTA with all documents, technical explanation & other requirements.
Verify the request from the team for report revision & if valid apply to CTA/KTA.
Suggest care instruction for each style.
Review TRF (filled by mill/vendor) before submitting for testing.
Bi-weekly visit k-link & study the updates. Besides; study the testing manual revisions/additions/updates whatever is shared in the mail from my end.
Arrange meeting with team (MR, technical, QA, wash) bi-weekly/monthly depending on importance to discuss buyer testing SOP, updates, etc.
Discuss any testing concern.
Communicate with 3rd party lab if there is any queries or suggestion needed from them.
Follow-up with vendor concern team if there is any additional requirement for any specific product/style.
Communicate with related mill to update them about testing SOP, revisions etc.
The implementation adds value in the process & can reduce the failures, call-outs, last-minute issues etc.
Personnel competency, performance, quality of the task, cost minimize, monitor the personnel work comply with procedure and monitoring corrective & preventive action.
Working principles, take necessary action or research regarding problem and find out a proper solution, inform the laboratory personnel about management decision, taking the initiative to implement the ISO/IEC 17025-2017 standard.
Prepare the procedures and instruction, inform the laboratory personnel about the changes in documents, maintain the working environment in laboratory, maintain official manner, produce accurate test results.
Responsible for implement update standard & work for develop new test method, check the test result, prepare maintenance and calibration plan, maintain stock management, check the quality of purchase items.
Provide training to new laboratory personnel, prepare documents for management review meeting
Color and fabric technical support to vendors/internal teams.
Color and fabric risk assessment during the development stage.
Assuring that the policies in the manual are strictly followed for all work performed under SOP / manual
Knowledge of testing requirements for international markets (AATCC, ASTMD, BS, ISO), etc.
Connect and liaise with approved testing labs & Color approval.
Independently communication ability with the mill regarding any technical queries and ability to advise.
Smoothly handle and operational ability of any style/product, fabric & product testing review.

Educational Requirements
Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Technology or Masters of science (chemistry)
Tertiary education, preferably in textiles, clothing, or business-related disciplines.
Experience Requirements
10 to 12 year(s)

Additional Requirements
Only males are allowed to apply
Minimum 10 years experience in Apparel or Mill Sector/buying office.
Must have good communication skills both (Oral and Written) in English
Must have a very good understanding of the color review process.
Must have sound knowledge of testing procedures & requirements.
Must have sound knowledge of the operating of the spectrophotometer.
Superior color vision (as indicated by the Mansell Hue color test).
Experience of Europe/USA Customers will have an added advantage.
