NRC is looking for an experienced advocate to join the team in Bangladesh as an Advocacy and Communications Manager. The role holder will be responsible for identifying priority protection concerns for advocacy, strengthening the incorporation of it into all aspects of NRC`s activities, and guiding NRC`s messaging to promote an improved protection and humanitarian response environment. If you are an influential and strategic leader; with strong communications, networking, and collaborative skills; and a background in protection, analysis, messaging, and coordination, then this is the role for you!
18-month contract duration.
Job Responsibilities
Advocacy strategy revision and upgrades.
Strategic delivery coordination of advocacy and communications.
Advocacy response identification and coordination.
Advocacy incorporation and integration into all aspects of programme activities, strategy, and budgeting.
Advocacy coherence, advocacy integration, and synergy reinforcement between programmes and advocacy.
Messaging and information sharing coordination and development of advocacy products.
Protection analysis on humanitarian and displacement trends. Preparation of public-facing advocacy products and written materials for internal and external use.
Advise on media lines and media strategy, ensuring potential risks are assessed and sign-off procedures are followed.
Strengthen advocacy networks and advocate NRC's position.
Advocacy training and capacity building.

Advanced degree, or similar qualification.
Additional Requirements

Protection principles and advocacy knowledge.
International legal and policy processes understanding, relating to forced displacement and migration.
Refugee and internal displacement understanding relevant to the Bangladesh context.
Complex and volatile context exposure.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
